John Mastrantoni, is a graduate of John Carroll University with a B.S. in Marketing. John began his career as an industrial sales representative for Ashland Chemical and in 1984, joined The M.F. Cachat Company as a regional technical sales representative where he was responsible for expanding the company’s territory in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. In 1994, he was promoted to sales di-rector and led the expansion to the Midwest and East Coast. In 2002, with the retirement of Michael Cachat, the company’s founder, John purchased the majority share in The M.F. Cachat Company from Michael and assumed the role of President and CEO. In 2015, The M.F. Cachat Company was sold to IMCD but he assumed the role of President of IMCD US.

IMCD US is a leading specialty chemicals distributor in the US with a focus on the coatings, inks, adhesives & sealants, construction, plastics, advanced materials and food segments. With its head office in Lakewood, Ohio, IMCD US currently represents market leading global chemical suppliers in more than 30 states throughout the Midwest, Central, Eastern and Southern regions of the US. In 2015, the company generated revenue of USD 300 million and has approximately 90 employees.

John’s success is largely a result of his company’s commitment to customer and supplier focus as well its core values. His first priority is to customers and supplier partners.
