1. New Opening: 6/18/08

A leader in the manufacture of specialty products for the foundry industry, is seeking a Materials Professional for a manufacturing facility located near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

 

This is a “hands-on” position working within a Business Unit team in a shop floor environment. The Materials Coordinator is responsible for all Unit materials flow and processing to include raw materials planning, costing, transactional purchasing, and inventory valuation. This position is also responsible for backing up the shop floor Supervisor, and undertaking other key assignments within the Unit.

 

Requirements are a BSBA or related 4-year degree, with 2-4 years experience with materials management and scheduling in manufacturing setting. Must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work in an atmosphere of continuous improvement and employee involvement. APICS certification desired.

A local manufacturer of temporary power and lighting. They have been in business since 1918 and are growing stronger each day. They are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain all business systems. Responsibilities include the specification, purchase, installation, maintenance and upkeep of computer, printer/copier and communications equipment used at Ericson Manufacturing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs administration of user accounts for employees on all computer and software business systems.

  • Performs set up and connectivity to network resources including servers, printers and internet as required.

  • Assigns all required hardware including computers, printer, monitors and other equipment.

  • Installs and sets up telephones, voice mail and e-mail for employees as needed.

  • Completes software updates and upgrades to hardware and software to ensure the approved technology is being utilized company wide.

  • Performs all maintenance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, printers, copiers, and phone systems.

  • Provides basic level training to users on software and hardware as needed.

  • Ensures that all computer security precautions are in place including internet screening, latest firewall and virus protection products.

  • Researches latest technology and makes recommendations on technology updates.

  • Ensures that network communications remain up and running at all times and may pull cabling and network connections as required.

  • Generates and maintains various reports for the organization through Crystal Reports Developer and Epicor Vantage queries and dashboards.

  • Selects network and computer professionals to provide additional services in the maintenance, programming and up keep of systems.

Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years experience working in a computer software, hardware or network support role.

  • Must have extensive experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems.

  • Various Microsoft operating and Microsoft Office systems knowledge required.

  • Experience using Epicor Vantage, Progress, or Crystal Reports preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to train users on the use of computer systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree with related field experience or Microsoft certification preferred.

A high growth privately held company located in Central Illinois, is looking for a dynamic individual to manage the production scheduling, warehousing, shipping and receiving and inventory control functions ensuring customer service targets are met.

 

The Materials Manager will play an integral role in the implementation of a new ERP system and will contribute to the lean manufacturing and best practice initiatives being undertaken by the company. A heavy emphasis on process improvement, procedure, and training and development will be needed. Additional Qualifications include:

  • BS degree in Business or related field.

  • 10-15 years of experience in production planning and inventory management.

  • Leadership skills along with the ability to influence change.

  • Understanding of production and distribution costs structure.

  • Excellent analytical skills and computer knowledge (SAP, Oracle or other major ERP platform)

  • APICS certification a plus.

A Production Scheduler/Coordinator position is available in Streetsboro. They process steel coils in a fast paced environment. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in production control/scheduling. Interfacing with inside sales and scheduling trucks is also a job requirement. Company located in Brook Park seeks qualified Materials Coordinator. This is a mid-level Operations position with no direct reports. The Coordinator is responsible for all materials processing including planning, costing, transactional purchasing, and inventory valuation within a manufacturing Business Unit, reporting to the Unit Manager. Local company looking for a Planner. FUNCTION: Execute/create Master Production Schedules. Monitor production status Production and Quality Depts. Expedite/de-expedite production/purchase orders and quality inventory. Negotiate orders with approved suppliers in terms of quality, delivery, price, and create purchase requisitions for buy items/work orders as required. Prepare, monitor and communicate labor capacity plan on a regular basis. RESPONSIBILITIES: On-time shipment of customer orders; Execute/create feasible production schedules; Support material needs of product development: Quote review of new designs; On-time shipment of purchase orders; Incoming quality of procured items; Inventory turnover/stock out/levels (inventory reduction); Lead time compression externally, Monthly reports (supply/demand & sales summary). REQUIREMENTS: Experience driving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); Knowledge of Materials Management computer systems (MRP, CRP); Planning experience (capacity, order processing); Knowledge of Supply Chain and Purchasing; BA/BS degree is preferred; APICS and/or ISM certifications are preferred.

8. New Opening: 4/16/08

A local company is looking for a QMS Administrator. This individual will serve as the primary Site Focal point to coordinate and manage systems, data, and documentation in support of the Cleveland Site Quality Management System, as it applies to meeting the requirements of AS9100. You will also be responsible for coordinating and facilitating systems, data, and documentation, as it applies to meeting the requirements of NADCAP Special Process Certifications.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all documentation and follow-up, relative to the Site Corrective/ Preventive Action Systems (CAPA).

  • Function as an SME (subject matter expert) to all functional departments when questions on documentation occur. Work in conjunction with the Site Quality Manager on special department projects.

  • Confirm that Site Internal Audit procedures are properly carried out and assigned work schedules are maintained. Set up and conduct regular communication meetings with Department heads to maintain audit quality and schedule. Call meetings to resolve Internal audit issues in support of Internal Auditors. Develop and maintain a Site QMS Action Plan and work with Department heads to drive effective actions and timely closure of audit findings and process improvement recommendations

  • Develop and deploy annual Internal Auditor Training Classes in conjunction with the HR Department, to ensure a steady pool of qualified auditors, to effectively carry out the Internal Audit Cycle

  • Coordinate the NADCAP audit cycles. Maintain steady communication with NADCAP auditors to ensure professional communication and no missed deadlines, relative to deliverables. Screen all responses on issues, invoicing, etc to and from NADCAP, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Work with M&PT and Department heads when necessary to clarify technical issues.

  • Act as primary Audit guide on AS9100 and NADCAP Site visits to ensure that logistics are properly scheduled prior to Site Audit visits

Requires:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Technical Discipline preferred, or equivalent experience

  • Four years experience in Quality Systems Management in a Manufacturing environment

  • Professional Certification by American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Systems Auditor or Professional Certification as a RAB Quality Systems Auditor

  • Maintain inventory forecast in an independent demand environment
    Plan inventory levels to meet department service and inventory utilization objectives in a multi-location third-party distribution network

Local company is seeking a Buyer/Planner to performs activities to monitor and maintain the planning and inventory control of materials, factory supplies and outside services. Plan and purchase component materials, outside services, and factory supplies from vendors. Schedule cycle counts and perform reconciliation of adjustments, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Perform administrative and data entry duties as required. This position requires knowledge of production operations, materials management, and inventory control policies, practices and systems.

Duties include:

Minimum Requirements:

Local company seeks a Material Capacity Planner responsible for coordinating activities related to the labor and machine capacity of their service group,  ensures there is a an appropriate flow of product, and prepares  and interpret load reports. Requires an understanding in various levels  that impact changes in load (forecast, service, planning), business degree and experience in capacity planning.
